The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Trean, trained by P. Twomey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
172B Diageo Spirits Irish EBF Median Auc. MdnB.M. Coen, rider of Karrygrant, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.
J. Kearney, rider of King Of Eze (GB), trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen to the start causing him to get unseated.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bang Bang, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
172C Silken Thomas And Lock 13 H'capS. Coen, rider of Tachos, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
L.F. Roche, rider of Thyer (GB), trained by Maurice Andrew Ahern, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check coming out of the stalls.
A.S. Grant, rider of Spanish Rising, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
O. Murphy, rider of Majestic King, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he got caught in a pocket inside the final furlong.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from G.M.Lyons, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Prevalence (GB), placed first, as compared with its last run in The Curragh on 24/05/26 when finishing 10th of 12. The trainers representative Ms. K. Lyons reported that the filly may not have acted on the ground on her last run. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
172D Schweppes Trophy H'capB.M. Coen, rider of Spacebound (GB), trained by Daniel McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
W.J. Lee, rider of Gypsy Queen, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't let herself down on the ground.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Una Matata, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was unruly in the starting gates.
172E Fitzpatrick's Apprentice Derby H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed P.A. Harnett, rider of Keepsgettingbetter, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his misuse. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend into the straight involving Eastern Peace, ridden by J. Cleary, Faro Island (GB), ridden by J. Kearney, and Nod Of Approval, ridden by K.G. Kennedy where it appeared Eastern Peace had to check after receiving pressure form his right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Cleary said he had to check after he received pressure from his right. J. Kearney said he had to check off heels after a horse in front stopped. K.G. Kennedy said he kept a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J. Kearney was in breach of Rule 214 in that they had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
Jessica O'Gorman, rider of Royal Alliance (FR), trained by Maurice Andrew Ahern, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got tired in the closing stages.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Royal Alliance (FR) trained by Maurice Andrew Ahern had blood at both nostrils post race.
The Raceday Stewards fined Maurice Andrew Ahern, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared tongue strap to Royal Alliance (FR) prior to entering the parade ring.
172F McGuinness Maintenance Irish EBF M'dnJ.J.G. Ryan, rider of Ballysax Stew, trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Youcansaythatagain, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
W.J. Lee, rider of Saxony Charms, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its footing leaving the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards informed J.P. Murtagh, trainer that Collared, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
172G O'Driscolls Irish EBF Stayers H'capThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the one furlong pole where Kilmeaden, ridden by P.A. Harnett, had to take a slight check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from C.Byrnes, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Reverend Hubert, placed first, as compared with its recent form. C. Byrnes said the good ground and the strong early pace helped his charge put in an improved performance. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Delta (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
